My Camp Highlights

Who I Was Before And After Camp
Before camp I was an Angus, Shy, Nervous, Hard to interact person. It was not easy for me to overcome how easily I get angry, how I feel weak when i'm nervous, how I try to hide behind the shadows so no one can see me and how hard it is to interact with people and people interacting with me.
Until the day came for us to go camp the first activities that were waiting for us got me excited and took away my shyness because I didn't want to be the only one who didn't have a go or try the activities. These activities were amazing the Low ropes, Confidence course, Air rifles and archery these got my heart racing, got me movin, got me getting back up even tho I fell and got me interacting with people I don't know giving them encouragement to have a go.

KiwiSport Basketball Reflection
Today Monday 17th of October my class and I went out for kiwisport, the kiwisport we did was basketball or B-ball.
What we did first was having a quick warm up run, then we got a ball and learned how to dribble it or bounce it then we got a partner and learned how to pass it, their are four ways to pass the ball first one chest pass, second overhead pass and the last one bounce pass.
After all of that we got into boys vs girls shooting contest to see who will get 15 points in before the other team and of course boys won.

Do You Want To Dance?
Do You Want To Dance is a book that I was reading, this book has lots of facts of famous choreographer, dancers and types of dancing, this book has a famous artist Michael Jackson who was known for being a talented choreographer and dancer.
There are many types of dancing for example Tango, Aboriginal dance, The twist, Macarena, Ballet, Charleston and Jitterbug.
Also this book tells stories about different types of music and bands like Rock n Roll, Beatles, David Bowie, Beach Boy, Jazz and other bands and music.

Loud Shirt Day
Loud Shirt Day is the day we celebrate deaf people these people can be born with it or a illness.Loud Shirt Day helps fundraise money to help the people that are deaf, the people that are deaf get the money to help them get stuff to help them hear again or for the first time.

Wanted To Let: Driveway With Use Of Shower, Toilet and Kitchen
A man named brendon has been staying in his car homeless because he got convicted for failing to pay his rent. He put up posters that asked if he can stay on their driveway and use their shower, toilet and kitchen pls, so that he has somewhere to do his business in and without disturbing anyone that is in their house.
But Brendon didn't get to stay on anyones driveway because people thought that he might be creepy or that he is a thief, until he made a website that went global telling people that it is way safar to stay on someone's driveway then staying somewhere rough in a public place.
After saying his speech heaps of people felt sorry for judging him of how he looked and the state he was is in, then a researcher from Wellington searched up how many people sleep in their car it came up with 10% of homeless people stay in their cars and the others stay on the street.
If I was in this being the person that brendon was begging to I would give him the stuff he needs so that he doesn't ask people if they could be kind and be caring to let him sleep on their driveway.

Too much tv is about someone being lazy beside of being active, this person spends to much of their time on the computer, video games and tv.
She has been told from her mum to read books because their is a storyline inside and it is absorbing and entertaining, but the girl don't really think that because she thinks that movies are way better because it has color and it doesn't involve reading.
Now I told you what happened in the story now i'm gonna tell you what the story means.The article means that to always try new things even if you don't like it or if you think it is boring, if you try new thing it can help you discover something new in you.
It is like how on the movies, how someone was a bookworm that always liked to read books and not do anything, then that someone discovered the that person had discovered a new talent to compete in an event.
Another thing about the text is that if you are trying to do something that you never did before the best thing to do without giving up is to never give up, because your friends and family will appreciate that you have tried and tried and tried to achieve a goal that your parents wanted you to do.

Maths
Today we were looking at fractions and division.
These helped us divide how much cake do four people get.
We divided the cake into quarters which gave us four slices and the other problem was how much candles does each piece have on it. There were 20 candles and we divided them into five so they could all be equally on each cake piece.
